Singapore’s Anchanto Strengthens Presence in Indonesia with New Investment

Anchanto, a Singapore-headquartered SaaS company has raised US$4 million in the first round of its ongoing Series C investment – led by MDI Ventures, Telkom Indonesia’s corporate venture capital arm.

Leading the latest funding round was MDI Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of state-owned telco provider Telkom Indonesia. As such, Anchanto’s collaboration with Telkom Indonesia via MDI’s investment will serve as the gateway to Anchanto’s Indonesia Strategy – which is to enable thousands of Indonesian SMEs, Micro-SMEs, and Enterprises to penetrate the country’s fast-growing e-commerce sector.

This significant milestone creates a breakthrough for Indonesia’s e-commerce ecosystem, as it can further empower entrepreneurs to expand their services across Indonesia and to better compete within the Southeast Asia region.

Logistic technologies have an enormous potential for improving the e-commerce landscape across the Indonesian archipelago. Anchanto therefore seeks to help complete this supply chain by providing a dedicated system which synchronizes warehouse management, transportation and analytics systems.

To do so, Anchanto will leverage on Telkom Indonesia’s 170 million-strong user base as well as its locally-based digital platforms, mobile payment and business solutions. Telkom Group will be using Anchanto’s technology to provide integration of O2O solutions and e-logistics capabilities including cross-border shipments, multi-location warehousing and hyper localization that enables companies to penetrate the global marketplace via technology firm’s SelluSeller and eWMS, products.

Over the last 12 months, sellers across the region have processed more than 12 million orders totaling more than $258 million in gross merchandise volume (GMV) through both eWMS platforms and SelluSeller, Anchanto’s signature SaaS product.
