The Future of Interactive Video with Raj Sunder
This week on cita-cita, we get to know Raj Sunder, Founder and CEO of Wootag.
Raj’s inspiration for Wootag came about in rather atypical fashion: He was watching a movie online and really wanted a pair of sunglasses being worn by one of the characters. What ensued was as a fruitless search online for the object of his desire, eventually evolving into a “Eureka moment” when he realised how much easier his search would have been if there was an option for him to find out more about the product while he was watching the movie. And thus, Wootag was born in June 2014.
Today, more than 1 million unique viewers have watched videos that have been enabled using the company’s flagship SaaS platform which allows companies to bring a new level of interactivity to their videos to achieve aims such as generating business leads, driving site traffic and online-to- offline conversion.
Raj has strong market experience in Southeast Asia, India and Australia. Prior to the founding of Wootag, he spent 7 years managing video content strategy for video categories ranging from short- clips, on-demand movies to live sporting events. Some of the other key areas that he has worked on throughout his career include gaming, application stores, music and video.
He has more than 15 years of experience in the telecoms and internet services space as a software engineer, product manager and business lead, working across a wide range of functions from revenue enhancement, operations and strategic planning to business development, partnership and product management.
